PRP Hair Restoration

If you are experiencing hair loss, you are not alone.  Millions of men and women are affected with hair thinning and loss. We are excited about offering platelet rich plasma (PRP) for hair restoration at La Brielle rejuvenation Medspa, a revolutionary non-surgical treatment that has shown great promise in restoring hair. It is minimally invasive with minimal to no recovery time. PRP has been shown to induce new hair regeneration, slow down hair loss in men and women, and make hairs thicker, denser  and stronger.  Call us or book an appointment to discuss if this treatment is an option for you.

What is PRP treatment for hair restoration?

PRP hair restoration consists of injecting  your own Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)  into the area of thinning hair/hair loss to stimulate new hair growth and improve health and texture of existing hair. This highly concentrated serum releases cytokines and growth factors that cause an inflammatory process to stimulate current hair follicles and generate new hair growth.

How is the treatment performed?

The entire treatment is done at our medspa office which includes collecting your blood, using a centrifuge device to extract the PRP, applying topical anesthesia and performing the targeted injections. It takes about 1 hour or less.

How many treatments do I need?

We recommend an initial set of 3 to 4 treatments spaced four to six weeks apart for best results.  Maintenance treatment can be performed thereafter to maintain the results of  hair regeneration. Three initial monthly sessions, followed by six-month intervals, have proven successful

Is there any recommended adjuncts to the treatment?

Medications such as minoxidil, nutrients (like nutrafol and the likes) and Exoxomes can be added to PRP to enhance the results.

When will I see results from treatment?

Results are typically apparent within 2 weeks of treatment but it may take 3 to 6 months.

Is there any contraindications?

PRP treatment should be avoided if you have any of the following conditions:

  • Immunosuppressive illnesses, human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), Hantaviruses (HTV), or immunosuppressive medicines have weakened the immune system.

  • Skin problems and disorders, such as Squamous cell carcinoma (SCC), Basal cell carcinoma (BCC), and melanoma, as well as systemic cancer and on-going treatments.
